How local house shifting prices work
For local house shifting: labour depends on floors and access. A ground-floor house with parking at the door needs fewer hands than a fourth-floor flat with no lift, so we always ask about stairs, lifts and how close the truck can stand.
Special items change the plan: split ACs need a technician, marble tops and glass need crates, and pianos, safes or heavy almirahs need extra labour. Mention them early and they are included in the price instead of surprising you later.

On the day of your move
On moving day a supervisor walks through the house with you first, checks the list and marks fragile items. Packing starts room by room, and heavy furniture is taken apart before loading.
Ask building security or the society office for the gate pass a day early. Many societies and towers allow moving vehicles only at fixed hours, and a missing pass is the most common cause of delay.
Packing tips for local shifting
Keep a first-night bag with medicines, phone chargers, a kettle, a few clothes and important papers. It travels with you, not in the truck, so you are not searching through boxes on the first night.
Empty, clean and dry the fridge and washing machine a day before. Water left inside leaks onto other goods, and a fridge should stand upright for a few hours after the move before it is switched on.
Planning around rain or summer heat? The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast helps you pick a dry, cooler day – we can move the slot if the weather turns.
